Have you decided to engage
seriously in business or to
start representing your firm
in the internet?
Leave your cabling to us
Leading the markets with the
highest-quality connectivity
products on the market, we
have developed a complete
end-to-end cabling system.
Our LAN support solution
makes office environments
expandable, manageable, and
organized. It comprises all
the network components
you’ll need, from the work
area to the cross-connect in
the telecommunications
closet.
Our total system eliminates
the risk of lurking weak
points that can affect your
network’s critical
performance.
We only use the highest
quality components and
cable, and we thoroughly
test all installations. To
allow for the very fastest
in network transfer speeds
we can also integrate fibre
into our network designs,
from as little as
server-to-network backbones,
through to complete fibre
networks.
If the problem only affects
one PC, take that PC to the
patch cabinet and plug it
directly into the hub. This
may seem like an obvious
thing to try but it has to
be said as it proves whether
the fault is actually a
cabling problem or not.
Cabling Categories
Structured cabling solutions
are defined by "category".
You can be sure that the
most appropriate cabling
category for you will have
been rigorously tested to
industry standards.
Cat 5 Copper cabling-
Category 5 provides a
reliable, open
infrastructure that will
support all LANs up to and
including 100Mbit/s
Ethernet.
Cat 5e cabling
- For LAN
support up to and including
1000Mbit/s, look for systems
guaranteeing Gigabit
Ethernet support - a level
to which all BT structured
cabling schemes are
installed.
Cat 6 cabling
- Provides
higher performance cabling
systems, specified to
250MHz. Currently supports
systems up to 1 Gigabit,
with potential to support
higher speeds in the future.
Cat 7 cabling
- Specified to
600MHz, Cat 7 is a 'fully
shielded' cabling system,
which offers more than twice
the bandwidth of Cat 6 but
is also both bulkier and
more expensive than Cat 5/6
cabling systems.
